The on-site meeting on the new and old kinetic energy conversion and intelligent manufacturing of the 2017 mechanical parts industry in Shandong Province sponsored by the Provincial Economic and Information Commission was held yesterday (25th) in Zhangqiu.

In a machine tool production workshop in Jinan, this hub machining horizontal lathe equipment is being stepped up production and will soon be shipped to Thailand. This is the first time that Shandong auto wheel processing machine products have been sold to countries along the Belt and Road.

Li Mingye, General Manager of Jinan No. 1 Machine Tool Co., Ltd.: “To achieve unmanned manufacturing, there are automatic loading and unloading, automatic processing, automatic detection including automatic compensation, and no-manipulation operation, to produce qualified products.”

In 2016, Shandong's machinery industry achieved a main business income of 2.78 trillion yuan, accounting for 18.5% of the above-scale industries. It is an important engine to promote industrial growth. At present, there are a total of 14 projects in the province that have received special support from the national intelligent manufacturing industry. The total volume and total funds are among the highest in the country. However, compared with other advanced provinces such as Jiangsu and Guangdong, the problems such as insufficient application of new smart manufacturing models, high-end equipment products, and key core technologies are limited.

Lin Jianghai, Director of the Shandong Institute of Mechanical Design: “Development of key technological units for user process requirements and automated production of complete sets of equipment. This is a development direction. Who can seize the opportunity of our new trend and seize our industrial model? This opportunity for a change in the development approach will capture the new and old momentum of our industry."
